Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 212 New Cases, Total 61,194

There were 212 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in seven states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Friday 16th September 2020.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said the following areas were infected by the pandemic on Friday: Lagos 85, Oyo 72, FCT 21, Ogun 11, Plateau 11, Katsina 6, Kaduna 5 and Osun 1.

As of 11.28 p.m. on 16th October 2020 Nigeria had recorded a total of 61,194 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the index case occurred in the nation.

Out of the total, 52,304 patients had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,119 deaths arising from the worldwide virus had been reported in the country during the period under review, NCDC wrote on its twitter handle.
