Nigerian hunters have crowned the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed as their national patron in recognition of his support towards the advancement of security sector at national level and promotion of hunters’ activities generally.
The crowning of the Bauchi state Governor as Nigerian Hunters Chief was Wednesday revealed by his Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters, Umar Aliyu Shayi while fielding press questions in Bauchi.
The Special Assistant said that hunters in the country have appreciated the commitment of Governor Bala in the maintenance of peace in the state through various initiatives.
Shayi assured the readiness of the PDP administration in Bauchi state under the able leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed to continue supporting security agencies and other vigilantes to ensure peaceful co-existence among members of the society.
Meanwhile, the International Association of World Peace Advocates of the United Nations Peace volunteers has presented a fellowship award to the Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters to the governor, Umar Aliyu Shayi.
Receiving the award, Umar Aliyu Shayi expressed gratitude to the association for finding him worthy of the award.
Shayi also recalled that the association has also honoured the State’s First Lady, Hajia A’isha Bala Mohammed for her support to vulnerable groups and other humanitarian activities she is undertaking across the country.
