Court of Appeal Sokoto Division has voided the ruling of Zamfara State High Court that nullified All Progressives Congress (APC) State, local and ward Congresses which produced the executives of the party in the state.
The APC in Zamfara State had approached the Appeal Court in Sokoto challenging the judgement by Zamfara State High Court, Gusau which had in August this year nullified the congresses that produced the State, Local Government and Ward executives of the APC in Zamfara state.
The Counsel to the APC, Chris Udeoyibo while speaking to newsmen in Gusau on Thursday said the appeal had succeeded by setting aside the earlier judgement by State High Court, Gusau.
Udeoyibo said that in a Three-man panel led by Justice Pedrick Oho said, Appeal Court Sokoto Division delivered on Thursday in appeal No. CA/S/88/2020 Between the APC, 60 RS and Sirajo Garba and 140 others.
“Justice Oho while delivering the judgement said that the appeal succeeded, thereby setting aside the decision of the High Court of Zamfara State which was delivered on 7th August, 2020,” he said.
Reacting over the judgement the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Muhammad Liman described the victory as a welcome development to the APC family in Zamfara state..
Liman therefore appealed to all APC members in the state to bury any differences and work together for the progress and development of the party in the state.
