Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 163 New Cases, Total 60,266

Eleven states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja of Nigeria recorded 163 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Sunday.


The COVID-19-infested states are: Lagos 113, Kaduna 21, Osun 8, Ondo 5, Oyo 5, Ogun 3, Bayelsa 2, Taraba 2, Edo 1, FCT 1, Katsina 1 and Plateau 1.

As of 11.25 p.m. on Sunday 11th October 2020 Nigeria had had a total of 60,266 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case occurred in the country, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on its twitter platform on Sunday.


Out of the total, 51,735 COVID-19-positive patients had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,115 people had been killed by the global virus in Nigeria during the period under review.

The disease did not cause death in the nation on Sunday.
