The just appointed Emir Of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli has vowed to be an accessible monarch to his subjects irrespective of tribe, religion or Political leanings, saying good leaders must operate an open door policy in order to succeed in their assignment of serving the people.
He made the declaration while receiving Former Federal Legislator, Shehu Bawa ABG who paid him a courtesy call in the Emir’s palace located in the heart of Zaria City.
The first class Monarch stressed the need for consistent interface between leaders and the led , attributing frequent frictions, he noted often degenerated to crises and loss of confidence in leaders by the masses usually originated, according to him from gap in communication that should be bridged, which he said would go a long way in building trust, faith, unity and confidence in people.
“I appreciate your visit and soothing words of patriotism and expression of confidence in my ability to lead our people to prosperity.
“I reiterate my commitments to put welfare and needs of our people first before anything because, We are in leadership positions by divine Providence made possible by Allah.
“We’re not the best of mankind in knowledge, fear of God, nor were We chosen because God loves us most above others.
“Leadership is a challenge and a test from God to see how we handle people’s trust. We therefore, need your prayers and constructive criticisms to succeed” He solicited.
Earlier in his speech, Shehu Bawa ABG disclosed that he was at the Emir’s palace to pay his allegiance to the Emir who he acknowledged emerged through a transparent process and attributed Ambassador Bamalli’s emergence to the divine will of Allah for the people of Zazzau Kingdom, urging them to give their unconditional supports and allegiance to the Emir.
“I am confident that the choice of his Royal Highness is not by fluke. He posseses all the needed intellectual and leadership attributes to lead an important Emirate as this.
“He is endowed with both Islamic and Western jurisprudence knowledge which is a prerequisite for a leader of his status to have and be conversant with in solving minor frictions amongst his subjects and make peace.
“It is apt to create constitutional roles for our Royal fathers so that people at the grassroots will be mobilized and keyed in to project of building a strong and United Nigeria,” ABG said.
