Members Of House Of Kaduna Family Vow To Catalyze Peace, Security

Members of the House of Kaduna Family, have pledged to work assiduously together to catalyze peace and security in Kaduna State.
 They gave the assurance on September 30, 2020, after a one-day meeting held at the headquarters of Kaduna State Peace Commission, Kaduna, where their office is located.
The Co-chairmen, Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Gumi and Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure who were elected to steer the affairs of the House of Kaduna Family assured that they would work to ensure that their assignment would contribute immensely to the search for peace and security in the state.
They reiterated that peace is not a privilege but a right for all people of the state regardless of faith, ethnicity and political affiliation, adding that it wasincumbent on all toworktowards achieving lasting peace in the state.
Both Dr. Gumi and Apostle Kure explained that, the House of Kaduna family would explore all avenues to ensure that they do not fail the people of Kaduna State, adding that they accepted membership of the Family because they wanted to contribute their quota in ensuring peace and security in the state.
They explained that those who hide under the guise of religion to perpetrate crime and conflict do so under ignorance because where there is religion there is peace.
“History is knocking at our door steps to see what we canachieve for the state,” they said, adding that, “we cannot afford to fail. We are people of religion, people of God. So we shouldn’t fail”.
The co-chairmen addedthat the people of Kaduna Statein particular and Nigeria in general are looking onto themto see what wisdomthey would display, and how farthey canwork together towards making the difference in the peacemaking and peacebuilding processes that could engender security and peaceful co-existence.
The House of Kaduna Family was inaugurated earlier in the month by Governor Ahmad Nasiru el-Rufai. Its membership is drawn from the Christian and Muslim communities.
 Members of the family include Arch. Bishop Buba Lamido, Bishop Timothy Yahaya, Rev. Prof. Moses Audi, Rev. Ishaya Adamu Jandogo, Bishop Julius Yakubu Kundi, Rev. Barnabas Dodo, Arch. Bishop Matthew Man-oso Ndagoso and Arch. Bishop Sunday OgaIdoko.
Also in the Family are, Rev. Dr. Olatunbosun and Shola James,  Mrs. Agatha Asabe Soji,  Sheikh Abdulkareem Hashim, Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, Malam Muhamamdu Kabir Alkasim, Mallam Tahir Baba Ibrahim and Mallam Yusuf Yakubu Alrigasiyyu.
Others are Sheikh Hamza Muhammad Lawaland Tukur Adam Almanna. Dr. Muhammadu Suleiman, Alhaji Mohammed Maruf Raji, Alhaji Sheriff Olutusin, Hajiya Fadila Musa and Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure make up the 20-man list of members.
The House is not a parallel agency to Kaduna State Peace Commission. Members are to complement the efforts of the Commission in their personal and institutional capacities as stakeholders and religious leaders of different faiths and denominations.
