Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 187 New Cases, Total 58,647

Twelve states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja were infected with 187 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Tuesday.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) gave the names of places attacked by the pandemic in the following order: Lagos 74, Plateau 25, Rivers 25, Gombe 19, FCT 19, Osun 10, Kaduna 5, Borno 3, Ogun 2, Katsina 2, Nasarawa 1, Bayelsa 1 and Edo 1.

As of 11.11 p.m. on Tuesday 29th September 2020 Nigeria had recorded a total of 58,647 confirmed cases of COVID-19, NCDC reported on its twitter account yesterday.

Out of the total, 49,937 COVID-19-positive people had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the worldwide virus had killed 1,111 persons in the country since the index case was discovered in the nation.
