Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board would continue to work with the Independent Hajj Reporters for better information dissemination on Hajj and Umrah activities in the state, and to ensure that yearly yearly Hajj operations are success at all levels.
This was disclosed by the executive secretary of the board, Ambassador Mohammed Abba Dambatta when the national coordinator of the Independent Hajj Reporters paid him a courtesy call in his office.
He emphasized that Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board is trying to ensure that all activities related to Hajj and Umrah are successful.
Mohammed Abba Dambatta added that that, “We would look on how the board and the Hajj Reporters would work together especially at present when the National Hajj Commission is making all efforts towards the progress of Hajj operations very successful in Nigeria which is also a task that needs the commitment of pilgrims welfare boards across the country,”.
In conclusion, the executive secretary commended IHR for reporting all Hajj and Umrah related activities which is fully recognised in Nigeria and called on the organisation to double efforts in its reporting system to enlighten the public on Hajj and Umrah activities.
Earlier while speaking, the IHR national coordinator, Malam Ibrahim Mohammed told the executive secretary that, ” we paid this courtesy call to thank you for your efforts towards the success of Hajj operations since you came in, and we appreciate how you are making efforts to restore the glory of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board which is now getting national recognition”.
He said that IHR is working selflessly to give more details on the activities of states pilgrims welfare boards because their services remain special and they need more publicity as agencies that take charge.of Hajj and Umrah operations in accordance with the rules and regulations of Saudi Authorities.
In a related development, the Kano State Ministry of Information will collaborate with the state’s pilgrims welfare board to partner with the Independent Hajj Reporters to ensure successful implementation of all the programmes that are related to Hajj and Umrah by the Saudi authorities.
The Commissioner of Information, Malam Mohammad Garba made this known when receiving the national coordinator of the Independent Hajj Reporters in his office.
He thanked the Independent Hajj Reporters for publishing Hajj and Umrah activities that serve as encouragement to national pilgrims welfare boards as seen since the existence of the organisation.
In his remarks, the national coordinator of the Independent Hajj Reporters, Ibrahim Mohammed said that partnership between the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board and the state’s ministry of information would bring more progress in educating intending pilgrims especially those who are new in going to pilgrimage.
He commended the commissioner for receiving his team and assured that the cordial relationship between the Independent Hajj Reporters and Kano State Ministry of Information would continue to produce better services to Hajj and Umrah activities in the state.
The national coordinator was accompanied by the Kano State members of the Independent Hajj Reporters during the courtesy call.
