Twelve out of Nigeria’s thirty-six states plus the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja recorded 136 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday.
The areas attacked by the pandemic are: Lagos 71, Rivers 23, Plateau 12, Adamawa 6, Oyo 6, Kaduna 5, Abia 3, FCT 3, Katsina 2, Kwara 2, Bauchi 1, Borno 1 and Edo 1.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on its twitter account that as of 11.38 p.m. on Monday 28th September 2020 Nigeria has had a total of 58,460 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Out of the total, 49,895 people who were infected by the worldwide disease had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,111 persons who tested positive for the virus had died in the country since the index case was reported in the nation, NCDC said on Monday.
