Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 136 New Cases Without Federal Capital Territory, Total 58,198

Nigeria recorded 136 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) in sixteen of the country’s thirty-six states on Saturday, while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja had zero new case.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said the following were infected by the pandemic: Lagos 41, Ogun 27, Rivers 19, Abia 10, Oyo 6, Plateau 6, Bauchi 5, Ondo 5, Ekiti 4, Kaduna 4, Edo 3, Ebonyi 2, Bayelsa 1, Delta 1, Osun 1 and Yobe 1.

As of 11.21 p.m. on Saturday 26th September 2020 Nigeria had recorded a total of 58,198 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the index case was found in the country, NCDC stated on its twitter account yesterday.

It disclosed that out of the total, 49,722 patients who the global disease infected had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,106 deaths caused by the virus had been reported in the country.
