Prof Bello Assumes Duty As New Pro-Chancellor Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano

The new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano, Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello has assumed duty. 

A statement signed by the university’s Head, Information, Publications & Public Relations Unit, Abdullahi Abba Hassan said that  while assuming duty, the Pro-Chancellor simultaneously convened an emergency meeting of the Governing Council, chaired by him, where he briefed members of the council on his mission and vision towards uplifting the standard of the university.

The meeting, which was first of its kind under his leadership, was held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Council Chamber of the Main Campus of the institution.  

Speaking while delivering his opening remarks, the new Pro-Chancellor pledged to serve the university diligently by taking it to the best level it could reach. Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello noted with nostalgia the accomplishments recorded by the citadel of learning, looking at its age, thus becoming among the best of its peers.

He stated that the institution would cooperate with the state government to work hand in hand for its positive development.Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello pledged to carry everybody along, asking members of the university community to contribute their quota by supporting him towards achieving the desired objectives of taking the institution to greater height.

He thanked the former Pro-Chancellor, Malam Sule Yahaya Hamma for his commitment in helping the university to grow from strength to strength, saying that the university witnessed tremendous developments in terms of physical infrastructure, staffing and training among other developmental endeavours.

While commending the council members for the cooperation given to the former Pro-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello called on them to extend same to him.
