Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 125 New Cases, Total 57,849

In Nigeria, 125 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were confirmed in twelve states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Thursday.

The places infected by the pandemic are: Lagos 37, Plateau 18, FCT 17, Ogun 15, Rivers 10, Benue 7, Kaduna 7, Anambra 5, Oyo 3, Cross River 2, Ondo 2, Edo 1 and Imo 1.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on its twitter handle that as of 11.23 p.m. on Thursday, 24th September 2020, Nigeria has had a total of 57,849 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Out of the total, 49,098 people who tested positive for the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,102 patients had been killed by the disease in the country.
