Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 195 New Cases, Total 57,437

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) found 195 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in ten of the 36 states of the nation and its Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Monday.

The disease control agency said the following states were infected by the pandemic: Enugu 51, Gombe 40, Lagos 39, Plateau 23, FCT Abuja 15, Rivers 12, Kaduna 8, Ondo 3, Bauchi 2, Edo 1 and Ogun 1.

NCDC wrote on its twitter platform on Monday that as at 11.16 p.m. on Monday 21st September 2020, Nigeria had recorded a total of 57,437 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Out of the total, 48,674 persons who tested positive for the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,100 people had been killed by the disease in the country during the period under review.
