Late Emir Shehu Idris Lived An Exemplary Life – Namadi Sambo

Immediate past Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Architect Mohammed Namadi Sambo has described the late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris as a monarch who lived an exemplary lifestyle.

He expressed this when he paid a condolence visit on the Zazzau Emirate on Monday.

Former Vice President recalled that in 1985 when he was a Commissioner in Kaduna State he always ran to him for advise on many  issues  and he gets solution.


He prayed to Allah to forgive late Emir Shehu Idris his mistakes and shortcomings during his life 

Meanwhile, the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has paid a  condolence visit to the families of late Emir of Zazzau who died on Sunday and prayed for Allah to grant him Aljannah as a permanent destination.


He also condoled with the Federal Government, Kaduna State and people of Zazzau Emirate Council over the death of Emir of Zazzau, Alh Shehu Idris.

The Governor stated this when he led the delegation of Sokoto State Government to Zaria for the condolence visit.


 He described the Emir as a rare gem, a source of wisdom and guidance and a true father of all.


Tambuwal said the Emir of Zazzau will always be remembered and honoured by the people of Nigeria for his immense wisdom and competence as a traditional ruler as well as for using his exalted throne to build bridges of unity, friendship and harmony across the nation.


 Prominent Nigerians, top government functionaries traditional rulers, politicians and other prominent Nigerians were at the palace to condole the Emirate and the entire people of Kaduna State over the death of the Emir.


 Prominent among the visitors at the palace were  Gombe State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, Deputy Governor Kano State, Nasiru  Yusuf Gawuna, Sultan of Sokoto, Alh Sa’ad Abubakar, the Emir of Kano, Alh Aminu Ado Bayero, the Emir Bichi, Nasiru Ado Bayero, Emir Rano, Emir of Hadeja, Emir of Minna, Alh Umar Faruk, Emir of Saminaka, Emir of Jema’a, and Emir of Jiwa.


Also at the palace were the heads of Federal establishments within Zaria, Kaduna and other parts of the country, such as CMD ABUTH, NITT, NILEST and Commandants of Military institutions.

Other callers in the Palace were Local Government Chairmen, some individual personalities as well.as youth groups.
