The remains of the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris have been laid to rest inside the Palace where most former emirs were buried.
The death of Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris has thrown the entire people of the emirate into tears and mourning.
When the corpse of the late Paramount ruler arrived his Palace at about 2:45pm, the whole palace that was filled to capacity by friends, relatives and well wishers who have been patiently waiting to pay their last respect to the late emir bursted into tears.
The remains of late emir were accompanied by top Kaduna State Government officials and Zazzau Emirate Council members from Kaduna.
The monarch died at about 11.30 am at the 44 Army Reference Kaduna on Sunday.
The funeral prayers were led by the Chief Imam of Zazzau, Alhaji Dalhatu Kasimu at about 5.30pm with the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Aviation Minister Senator Hadi Sirika, Finance and Budget Zainab Ahmed Shamsuna and Garba Shehu SSA to the President on Media and Publicity in attendance.
Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai, Secretary to the State Government and top government officials, Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly, members of the state Assembly were among thousands of people that attended the funeral prayers.
Also in attendance were Former Governors of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi and Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (Dallatun Zazzau). Others spotted were Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan among other top politicians. Other dignitries that attended the funeral prayers included Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, Sarkn Lere, Alhaji Garba Mohammed and Commandant Depot Nigerian Army Zaria, as well as several traditional title holders,
