The general overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna, Pastor Yohannu Buru has donated plenty -plastic kettles and praying mats to the Chief Imam of Fulani Road, a rebuilt -burnt mosque at Tudun Wada Kaduna over a fire incident.
The donation is aimed at promoting peaceful co-existence, religious tolerance, love and better understanding among different faith based organizations in Kaduna State.
According to general overseer, the donation is also geared towards strengthening relationship between Christians and Muslims and to commiserate with them over the incident.
Buru said they were there seven months ago to comminserate with the chief imam and the Muslim ummah after the fire incident that destroyed the Arabic school and the mosque on the same night.
He called on other wealthy Muslims peace NGOS and state government to equally support the mosque and the Islamic school with other necessary materials.
Buru also called on Muslims and Christians to all pray for peace in the state, while calling on all scholars to put more efforts into praying to God to bring an end to insecurity challenges that are affecting all sectors of human development.
“We all must remember that we are from same parents (Adam and Eve) and we all worship one God.
“We must remember that we are one family under God.
Responding, the Chief Imam, Sheikh Salihu Mai Barota expressed happiness over the donation by pastor Yohanna and his members.
According to him, “the fire out break destroyed five Islamic classes and the mosque but glory be to Allah, we were able to rebuild the mosque and fix it back to its place.”
He said, this is not the first time Pastor Yohanna is visiting him at his mosque to strength Muslims-Christians–Clerics relationship in order to promote peace and unity.
The Imam thanked the pastor and his entourage for the kind gesture and called on Muslim and Christian youth to be tolerant.
