An All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain in Adamawa State, Alhaji Bilal Ibrahim has described the Federal House of Representatives lawmaker representing Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha in the National Assembly, Hon Jaafar Magaji Haske as one of the best members the constituency ever had.
Ibrahim who is the APC party Chairman of the state reiterated this when the National Assembly caucus members under the delegation of Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru Binani visited the party office in Yola last week and assured them of their total support to unite together for the overall interest of party party members.
During the meeting, Bilal praised Jaafar’s performance in the National Assembly as the first of its kind empowerment programme he recently organised for the whole people of his constituency.
Bilal said what Magaji has done remains a pacesetter because no one has ever done that to the people of the area, of which hundreds of cars, tricycles, sewing machines, irrigation machines, grinding machines and start-up capital were distributed to over 800 people to start their own businesses.
He said the empowerment became the talk of the town in the state making even the opposition jittery of APC political office holders performance in the state.
A beneficiary of Jaafar’s empowerment programme, Ahmadu Muhammad said Magaji remains a rising star from the horizon whose glory of shining can never be dimmed by the opposition or his political enemies.
Ahmadu in an interview with our correspondent in Yola condemned the campaign of calumny some politicians through their thugs are doing to smear Jaafar whom he said is a hard-working lawmaker.
According to him, some politicians in the Northern zone have started propagating falsehood on the personality of Magaji, spreading lies and propagating rumours that he sold all his houses and abandoned his constituency by not frequenting home.
A falsehood Ahmadu addressed as a lie and cheap blackmail.
He said recently, Hon Haske was home and spent days during the last Sallah celebration.
“Let them come out with something else not this kind of useless and baseless propaganda against Jaafar who is doing well for the whole three LGAs he is representing.
“The young man is breaking their political strongholds of non-performance and is replacing it with good representation and his bills, motions and contributions have started yielding results.
” It’s because of him the abandoned Mubi NTA now resumed operation and the area is proud to have him their true voice at the National Assembly.
“Whatever they want to say against this young man, they are wasting their time, I’m assuring you Jaafar is enjoying the people’s support, they are just adding value and recognition to him, no two ways about it, he is a choice of the people, his time is not yet over until God says it is over not mere political hooligans will decide the fate and destiny of many people in our area.” He said
He continued to say that their lies will never see the light of the day because good will always triumph over evil.
“The steps of a good man are being ordered by God, Jaafar is doing well and the majority of the people are with him.” He added
He called on Magaji to remain focused, never worry over primordial issues some politicians are trying to distract him to lose focus.
“Jaafar you are on the right tracks, don’t get carried away with what enemies of our area who turned themselves political jobbers looking for ways to distract you are saying,” he said.
Charles Kolobaya, another beneficiary of Jaafar’s human empowerment confessed that he has not seen a de-tribalised politician who carries everybody along irrespective of tribe and religion.
“Once you are indigene of this three LGAs he is representing, he sees everyone as important valuable assets that he can’t joke with.
“I’m from Maiha LGA where Jaafar’s mother hails from, his constant visits to his maternal parents, his immediate grandparents in Maiha are always proud of him because of the testimonies that abound on the lips of many about his good representation.
“If it were to be a thing of selection, I would have preferred Magaji to continue representing us at the Green Chambers. Many before had represented us, with his current representation, we are clearly spotting out the difference.
“We are seeing it all, the difference is visible and audible that Magaji is not a religious bigot, he is not sentimental on all issues pertaining his work as an elected lawmaker of the Federal Republic,” Kolobaya said.
