A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) and the lawmaker representing Ogo Oluwa/ Surulere Federal Constituency Oyo State, Honourable Segun Dokun Odebunmi has disclosed that the internal rancour in the party will soon be a thing of the past
Hon Odebunmi stated this while speaking with journalists after he attended a meeting with the former Governor of Zamfara state Sen Abdul aziz Yari , and Hon Jaji
The lawmaker emphasized that there is the need for stakeholders in the party to eschew politics of bitterness and embrace peace in the interest of the party.
Honourable Odebunmi pointed out that the time has come for “all leaders of the party as well as members to embrace the on going reconciliation process in APC.
“We must reconcile ourselves and talk to our followers and this will compliment the efforts of the state and National reconciliation committee”, he said.
The lawmaker representing Ogo Oluwa/ Surulere Federal Constituency in Oyo state stressed the need for trust among the warring factions within the party and embrace the reconciliation agenda of the interim national executive .
According to Honourable Odebubunmi, “peace is the only way to achieve strong political and social cohesion” adding, “one of our most noble political task is to open up trust and love among members so that the party will continue to win election”
He however expresses optimism in the effort of the Interim National executive of the party in restoring peace and stability in the party as well as positioning it to win future elections in the country.
Also, the immediate past governor of Zamfara state Alhaji Abdulazees Yari has stressed that his faction is open for peace dialogue and discussion with the others.
