Eleven persons including a pregnant woman lost their lives in a ghastly auto crash at Agunrege town along Iseyin-Saki Road, in Oyo State.
New Nigerian gathered that the accident which also claimed the lives of a two year old baby, an aged woman and a police officer occurred at about 9pm .
It was learnt that the auto crash involved an 18-seater Urvan bus said to be coming from Ibadan and a stationed DAF truck .
Our Correspondent gathered that trouble started when 18-seater bus heading for Saki rammed into the stationed DAF truck while driver of the bus reportedly slept off .
The 18 seater bus was said to have veered off its lane and collided with the truck leaving eleven of its thirteen passengers dead on the spot.
When New Nigerian contacted , the Oyo state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Mrs Uche Chukwurah, she disclosed that the state FRSC command was yet to be aware of the accident.
Mrs Chukwura stated that the accident was not reported to the FRSC offices either at Saki or in Oyo town, adding , because the accident occurred in the night it was not reported to the command and as such, the command was not in the picture .
