The Board Chairman of Oyo State Community, Social and Development Agency, (CSDA), Honourable Babatunde Esuola on Wednesday said all the agency’s projects will be all inclusive and geared towards alleviating poverty in the state
Honourable Esuola who disclosed this in Osogbo while speaking during a study tour to Osun state emphasized that Oyo State CSDA has assisted many communities in Infrastructural development which directly touches the lives of the poor masses.
According to the Board Chairman, the study tour will afford the state the opportunity to share ideas, knowledge on what is being done and learn lessons on community development, as well as an all inclusive support to alleviate the sufferings of the citizens.
At the Ability Village which comprises of Elderly Persons Support centre, Cobbler Centre for handicaps, Batik centre for the blind where Tie and Dye is made, Skill Acquisition centre for the deaf and Olubamise Housing center also for the handicaps the General Manager of Osun CSDA, Mrs Funmi Aderonke Abokede declared that the project has enabled the state to touch the lives of people in various communities across the state in various sectors.
Mrs Abokede noted that the most of the various groups were beggers years back but they have learnt different trades and are doing businesses which has inturned changed their lives and families for the best.
Speaking, the Acting General Manager of Oyo CSDA, Engr. Mrs Abisola Adabanija stressed that a lot has been learnt from Osun CSDA, saying, knowledge have been shared during the tour as the ongoing project winds down this month.
Engineer Adabanija stressed that the agency is set to begin CARES program which is expected to touch lives and will run for 2years.
She however advised all communities, groups and poor house holds in the state to access the funds through CSDA, one of the platforms made available for project execution, adding that more lives will be touched.
