Eleven states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) were infected with 132 cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday.
They are: Lagos 52, Gombe 27, Plateau 17, Kwara 10, Enugu 9, Ogun 9, Katsina 3, Ekiti 2, Bauchi 1, Osun 1 and Rivers 1.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC reported on its twitter account on Monday that as of 11.29 p.m. on Monday 14th September 2020 Nigeria had had a total of 56,388 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case was reported in the country.
NCDC announced that out of the total, 44,337 people who tested positive for the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,083 persons who were infected by the disease had died in the country.
