COVID-19 Protocols: NIS Issues Travel Advisory For China, Europe, North-America Bound Passengers

All passengers traveling to China, Europe and North America from Nigeria would henceforth obtain COVID-19 negative test certificates before departure, the Nigeria Immigration Service ( NIS) has disclosed.
The directive is consequent upon the required travel protocols by the Chinese and French Embassies.
The national public relations officer of NIS Sunday James, a Deputy Comptroller, made the disclosure in a release available to journalists at the weekend.
According to the release, the directive takes effect from 1st Septeber, 2020.
It stated that the intending passengers are required to take a “Nucleic Acid Test ”three days before departure.b.Chinese citizens are to apply for “Green Health Codes”with“HS” mark.

Also, it stated that other foreign nationals including Nigerians are to complete“Health Declaration Forms,  All the two categories of travellers; foreigners to China and Chinese citizens are to submit COVID-19 negative test certificate to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in Nigeria for issuance of required clearance for their journey to China.

It reads, ” The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, MuhammadBabandede,MFR, has directed that this Press Statement be given wide publicity, to enable passengers travelling to China, Europe and North America from Nigeria to observe the required travel protocols as requested by the Chinese and French Embassies.
That effective 1st September 2020, all intending passengers to Chinaare required to obtain COVID-19 negative test certificate before departing Nigeria for China.
They are required to take a “Nucleic Acid Test ”three days before departure.b.Chinese citizens are to apply for “Green Health Codes”with“HS” mark.

Non Resident Nigerians in Europe and North America are to avoid transiting France pending the lifting of travel restrictions due to COVID-19.Transit passengers to Europe and North America transiting throughParis, must endeavor to present a valid Permanent Resident Permit fortheir final destination and COVID-19 negative test certificate to enablethem entry into France.
As from the 1st of July 2020, only French nationals and residents areallowed into the country (France) with respect to the not everbale fromthe Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveying the Travel Advice from the French Embassy in Nigeria”.
The NIS therefore advised all China, Europe and North American bound passengers to strongly abide by these rules to avoid denial of departure from Nigeria and repatriation from the countries concerned due to non-compliance.
