Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 160 New Cases, Total 56,177

Twelve states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja recorded 160 Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections on Saturday.

A list of names released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) showed the following: FCT 39, Plateau 39, Lagos 30, Kaduna 23, Katsina 7, Rivers 6, Oyo 6, Yobe 3, Benue 3, Bayelsa 1, Abia 1, Edo 1 and Ekiti 1.

NCDC reported on its twitter handle that as of 11.10 p.m. on Saturday 12th September 2020 Nigeria has had a total of 56,177 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case was reported in the country.
Out of the total, the country had treated and discharged 44,088 cases from its COVID-19 isolation centres, NCDC said, adding that the global virus had killed 1,078 people in the nation within the period under review.
