Uni-Abuja Seeks Partnership With NIS Over Course On Migration Study

The management of the University of Abuja has expressed its willingness to partner the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in running a course on Migration Study by the institution.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Abdulrasheed Na’Allah dropped the hint during a courtesy visit on the Comptroller General of Immigration Muhammad Babandede on Wednesday in Abuja.
Prof. Na’Allah, who led other top management staff on the visit, expressed satisfaction with the level of advancement in Technology deployed in Immigration Services rendered to the public even before the completion of the Technology Building at the heart of the NIS Headquarters.
Also, the Vice Chancellor Lauder the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service for giving the NIS a place in history and a voice among security agencies in the country, even as he applauded the management for teaming up with the CGI Babandede to bring turn around in various department of the service.         In his response, Babandede appreciated the Vice Chancellor and his entourage for the visit inspire their tight schedule.
According to a release by DC.James Sunday, the Service Public Relations Officer, Babandede made mention of the Regional Immigration Academy at Tuga, Kebbi State that is expected to cater for the West African Sub Region and Multi-Lingual, reiterating that Migration is a major international issue of global concern that the world will keep battling with like Security and Health related issues.
As a results, Babandede said the University as Centre of Knowledge must champion the course of solving migration concerns if they have to remain relevant, as they do of security studies, Medical and Healthcare.
According to the NIS boss, Migration Studies should receive the attention it deserves through research and teaching in relevant areas of migration proferring solutions.                         The Vice Chancellor, University of Abuja Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah who visited the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters on courtesy visit expressed the Universities willingness to partner NIS in running a program in Migration Studies. While commending the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service Muhammad Babandede MFR for giving the NIS a place in history and a voice among security agencies in the country, he applauded the management for teaming up with the CGI Babandede to bring turn around in various department of the service.         

It reads, ” The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service Muhammad Babandede MFR in his response, thanked the Vice Chancellor University of Abuja for making time out of his busy schedule to visit the NIS Headquarters accompanied by his principal officers like Prof Grace Nzelibe, Director Business School, Rosemary Edet Deputy Registrar, Unoiza Maryam, Dr Habib Yakoob, Hakeem Alohunmata Senior Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor.
