The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCOM), has announced the introduction of Hajj Savings Scheme for intending pilgrims through Jaiz Bank to allow people prepare for conducive Hajj operation’s smoothly.
The Chairman of NAHCON, Alh. Zikirillah Kunle Hassan has revealed this while speaking during a courtesy visit on Jigawa State Governor, Alh. Muhammad Badaru Abubakar at Govt. House Dutse, stating further that the idea is targeted at ensuring more participation of eligible pilgrims.
Earlier, Governor Badaru commended NAHCON in its quest towards ensuring hitch free Hajj exercise, while assuring of continued patronage and assistance at all times.
At the palace of the Emir of Dutse, Dr. Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi, the monarch advised the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to focus on the mobilization of intending pilgrims on Hajj operations.
The Emir gave the advice when he received the chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Alhaji Zikrillah Kunle Hassan who paid him a courtesy visit at his Palace.
He told the NAHCON chairman that intending pilgrims especially those from rural areas need to be educated on the annual rituals to enable them perform acceptable Hajj.
Dr Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi then commended the Executive Secretary of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Alhassan Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gidan Gumel, and District Head of Maigatari for the initiative which led to the conduct of successful Hajj operations in the state.
Earlier, the NAHCON chairman told the Emir that the commission has introduced Hajj Savings Scheme to allow people prepare for Hajj operations by saving their money at Ja`iz Bank.
He commended the Emir and Jigawa State Government for the support and cooperation given to the state pilgrims’ welfare board.
