Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 155 New Cases, Total 55,160

Nigeria reported 155 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic on Monday.

The virus infected fifteen states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja yesterday.

A list of names released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on its twitter platform had the following infected places: Lagos 42, Plateau 25, Rivers 16, Ebonyi 10, Abia 9, Ogun 9, FCT 9, Osun 7, Katsina 6, Kaduna 6, Ekiti 4, Taraba 4, Edo 3, Anambra 2, Akwa Ibom 2 and Kano 1. 

NCDC said that as of 11.42 p.m. on Monday 7th September 2020, a total of 55,160 confirmed cases of the global plague had been detected in the country.

Out of the total, 43,231 COVID-19-positive people had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,061 deaths of infected persons had occurred, the national disease control institute disclosed.
