Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: New Cases Fall To 100, Total 55,005

100 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) spread across nine states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria on Sunday.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) detected the global virus in the following places: Lagos 39, FCT Abuja 22, Kaduna 19, Oyo 7, Ebonyi 6, Edo 3, Katsina 1, Ekiti 1, Bauchi 1 and Nasarawa 1.

NCDC reported that as of 11.18 p.m. on Sunday 6th September 2020 Nigeria had recorded a total of 55,005 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic, since the index case was detected in the country.

The disease control agency highlighted that out of the total, 43,013 carriers of the worldwide plague had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,057 COVID-19-positive persons had died.
