We Are Determined To End Hawking In Kubau LGA – Council Boss

Chairman of Kubau Local Government Area,     Alh.  Sabo  Aminu   Anchau has reitrated his  determination to  bring to an  end  to  hawking  among the   girls  and  teenagers  in the  area.

Alh.  Sabo  Aminu  Anchau    made this  known  in  an  interactive session  with  journalists  on  the  issues  concerning  the  area in his   office  at  Anchau  Taka Lafiya.

He said   although   many  parents  have  changed their  attitude  by sending  their  children   to school   against the  habit of  letting  them go for  hawking.

The  council  chairman said that to  succeed  on this  issue, his  council  has  constructed  and  renovated  some  schools to  standard in order  to  accommodates the  pupils.

Also according to him,  the  local  government area has  joined the  train of  Kaduna  stayte  government in  changing the  Almajiri  schools  to model  ones.

According  to him, they  have recorded  265  Tsangaya  in the  whole  local   government for  proper  coordination  as  directed  by the state  government on the  mode of  operation  of  Tsangaya  schools.

Alhaji  Sabo  also  noted that  an   urgent  step  needs  to be  taken  to address the  issue  of  Almajiri  because  some  of the  Malams are  using  them like  their  personal  slaves   through  exploitation,   sending them  to  beg for food.

Speaking on  the  security  in the  area, the  council  boss  said   since the    military  were  deployed to assist  them, the  security  challenges  have  reduced  drastically .

He  said farming and business  activities in the  area are  moving  smoothly  without fear   of  armed  robbery, kidnaping or banditry.

The  council  chairman urged  people in the  area  to  continue  supporting  his  administration  for  more  success  to be  recorded.

 While  appreciating the  support,  prayers and advise  from  all  people of  Kabau  Local  Government  Area, Alh.  Sabo  Aminu  assured  them  of his  total  commitment in   doing  his    best  towards  the LGA’s progress  economically and  otherwise.
