Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: New Cases 290, Total 46,867

Fifteen states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja recorded 290 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria on Tuesday.
The areas visited by the pandemic are: Lagos 82, Plateau 82, Oyo 19, FCT 18, Edo 16, Kaduna 15, Enugu 9, Ogun 9, Kano 8, Kwara 8, Cross River 5, Ekiti 4, Imo 3 and Borno 2.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said that as of 11.21p.m. on Tuesday 10th August 2020, Nigeria had had a total of 46,867 cases of COVID-19.

NCDC wrote on its twitter platform that out of the total, 33,346 people who tested positive for the worldwide plague had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, but pointed out that 950 persons who were infected by the virus had died in the country.
