A Pharmacist, identified as Bassey Asuquo, has reportedly slumped and died on top of an unidentified commercial sex worker, after an overnight sex romp in Lagos. Our correspondent reliably learnt that the incident occurred at a popular brothel, known as Tinu Bola Bar and Restaurant, located along Old Akesan road, Before Galaxy Hotel, Egan, Igando, Lagos State, on the eve of August, Friday, July 31st, 2020.
According to witness, the shameful act attracted a mammoth crowd,who thronged in their numbers to have a glimpse of the dead pharmacist.
It was learnt that it took the dexterity and ingenuity of police operatives from Igando police Division , led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, CSP Taiwo Kasumu, to quell and disperse the tumultuous crowd ,before the deceased was evacuated to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
Equally, it was learnt that TinuBola brothel is notorious as a commercial sex workers abode ,with high beehive of prostitution activities going on in the place, even during lockdown of the COVID-19 Pandemic Escalation .
Impeccable sources informed that the dead pharmacist who has made name in the area on his penchant for alcoholism, womanizing and cigarette smoking, was found dead with a packet of cigarette, an inhaler and a sperm stained boxer. Another reliable account of the incident narrated how Bassey, known to be unmarried at his late 40 years of Age, had checked into the hotel Lodge on thursday Evening after consumption of some quantity of Alchohol and cigarettes . Though, the deceased is said to be Asthmatic, his alleged attempt to have one for road early morning sex, may have caused his life at about 7am , as the “killer ” prostitute, who immediately escaped, was said to have told the hotel manager over the telephone, how Bassey was gasping for air while rushing to grab his Asthma inhaler from the table, before he gave up the ghost.
The manager who was said to have related his telephone conversation with the prostitute to an eyewitness ( who pleaded anonymity), stated that the Commercial sex worker, who was being lured to come back to the hotel, added after giving her own account , that “I have gone very very far…..”, suggesting that she was beyond the reach of the police.
As at the time of filing this report,the deceased father was making frantic efforts to be allowed to carry his dead sons corpse, even as the manager and security guard of the in custody for useful information, while the case was said to have been transferred to the Homicide Unit, at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti ,Yaba, Lagos, for discreet investigation.
