Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, of Adamawa State has flagged off the construction of N8.8billion flyovers and township roads in the state
According to him, the event marks a major milestone in his administration’s commitment in fulfilling key campaign promises of undertaking an Urban Renewal that will make Jimeta, Yola and other towns in the state, befitting models to showcase.
“This event marks a milestone in our commitment towards fulfilling the promises made to Adamawa people during our campaigns.
“ Apart from the aesthetics, the flyover projects will take care of the anticipated population and expansion in the city,” he said.
Fintiri added that his administrations has already commenced the construction of roads in Michika and Madagali towns, while the provision of Roads and Health infrastructure in Yola South, Numan, Fufore and other local government areas will follow suit.
“Plans are underway for the provision of roads and health infrastructure in Yola South, Numan, Fufore and other local government areas.”
Earlier, Alhaji Adamu Atiku, the state Commissioner for Works said the ministry would indulge in vigorous supervision to ensure that the projects were delivered according to schedule.
“I urge the public to support the project, we shall definitely endure some form of inconveniences as we implement these projects,” he said.
Also speaking, Mr. Elie Abu-Farhat, Managing Director, Messrs Triacta Nigeria Limited, assured that the firm would deliver within the stipulated period.
