Govt Is Set For Agricultural Dev In Nigeria – AFAN

Chairman All Farmers Association of Nigeris (AFAN), Kaduna State, Alhaji  Nuhu Aminu has reminded farmers that government has set up machineries towards agricultural development in Nigeria.

Alhaji Nuhu Aminu who expressed this during interview with journalists on agricultural development in Nigeria, stressed that already government has concluded arrangements to provides farmers with farm inputs.

He said about 2.5 million farmers are expected to benefit from the programme due to commence this month.

According to him, about 8.000 farmers who were captured recently on their location cf farmlands will receive their farm inputs under the farmers validation exercise.

The AFAN Chairman also said, the Anchor Borrower Programme is a loan given to farmers but it is not free they should be prepared to pay back when time for recovery comes.

He warned farmers association to stop collecting money for farm capturing from farmers as government and AFAN didn’t recognized that levy of N3.000.00 during capturing.
