Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: New Cases 481, Total 42,689

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported that the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) was infected with 481 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) yesterday.

The new cases spread across 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja in this order: FCT 96, Lagos 89, Plateau 68, Ogun 49, Edo 44, Rivers 43, Oyo 25, Osun 23, Delta 15, Enugu 11, Kano 7, Kaduna 7, Bauchi 2, Bayelsa 1 and Yobe 1.

NCDC disclosed on its twitter platform that as of 11.19 p.m. on Thursday 30th July 2020, Nigeria had a total of 42,689 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic.
The disease control agency said that out of the total, 19,270 COVID-19-infected people had been treated and discharged from the country’s isolation centres, while 878 persons who were attacked by the global pestilence had died in the nation.
