Enugu Youth Coalition has frowned at the attitude of some politicians in the state who have developed the penchant for inciting Ndi-Enugu against Fulani Herdsmen residing in different parts of the state.

The group was reacting to manipulated pictures trending online showing the Chairman of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State giving money to herdsmen to eschew violence in the state, saying nothing like that ever existed in any part of Enugu.

In a statement released to newsmen on Monday, the group challenged political detractors to confront Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on good governance rather than inciting the people against legitimate herdsmen.

The group asserted that political desperadoes wants to make the state ungovernable by their action so that Enugu will lose it’s status as the most peaceful state in the country.

They said, these politicians are incensed by the unprecedented level of integrated developments and good governance Gburugburu has been delivering to the people not minding their political differences.

In other words, “it’s because they have nothing to hold against the government as a result of the massive infrastructural developments and human empowerment programmes going on in the state even with the little resources at its disposal that made these political shenanigans who feel threatened by the rising profile of the governor to embark on what psychologists called ‘Creative Dysfunction’ against his administration.

“While we advise these folks to back down from their dishonorable conspiracies, we call on Ndi-Enugu to continue to promote peace in their neighbourhoods and never allow people who have nothing good to offer them to break their longstanding bond of affection for non-indigens because Enugu State is in the Hands of God!”
