The National President of the Northern Reformation Initiative(NRI), Alhaji Abubakar Adamu has called on the Northern states governors to lay more emphasis on agriculture in order to boost the region’s economy after the COVID-19 pandemic that brought serious set back to global development in every sector.
He made the call in a chat with our correspondent in Kano, where he gave an assurance that giving priority to agriculture is the best alternative in the restoration of Northern region’s economy and bridging the wider gap that almost crippled economic progress which could easily be restored through agriculture.
The national president further said that, “our Northern governors can restore the region’s economy by considering agriculture as one of the fastest channels that can bring fortune to the Northern states with satisfactory result especially nowadays when it is time to seek alternative in the struggle of survival”. He stated.
In conclusion, Alhaji Abubakar Adamu reiterated NRI’s commitment in giving out more advise in order to ensure that all was well in the Northern region, and to make sure that there is a continuous relationship between the region and other sections of the country with optimum results.
