Oyo NSCDC Boss Warns Against Dumping Refuse On Waterways

Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Alhaji Iskilu Akinsanya on Monday cautioned residents in the state against dumping of refuse in the drainage and building along the waterways during this rainy season.
Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya gave the warning  during an awareness campaign against dumping of refuse, Road accident, fire outbreak, building collapse,COVID 19 and Flood disaster in Ibadan Metropolis and other local government across the State.
According to the NSCDC Commandant, there is no basis for residents across the state to be engaging in acts capable of threatening others especially the habit of dumping refuse in the drainage.
On COVID-19, he urged the people of Oyo state to continue abiding by the laid down rules and regulations towards preventing spread of CoronaVirus pandemic in the state. 
He then tasked the people of Oyo state to support government in its efforts towards finding lasting solution to the flooding and other associate problems so as  to create a better society.
The sensitization on disaster management was carried out at Bodija, Agbeni,Ogunpa,Idikan, Molete,Oja Oba,Beere and Yemetu to mention but few.
