Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace (IDFP) has called on the religious leaders in the country to support government by sensitizing members on CoronaVirus pandemic, saying that the virus is real, hence the for more enlightenment..
The IDFP also sensitized some Kaduna State residents on the pandemic and also distributed protective facemasks to them.
During the exercise in Sabon Tasha, Kaduna on Sunday, the co-publicity secretary of the organization, Imam Muh’d Sani Isah advised residents to always abide by CoronaVirus guidelines.
He however, appealed to all religious leaders to always apply measures in their various places of worship, living by example as their members are learning from them.
Also speaking, a member of the sensitization committee of IDFP, Reverend Sunday Ibrahim called on other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to also support government in sensitizing people on COVID-19.
He stressed the need for both states and federal government to provide enough protective materials for frontline workers in order to encourage them in the course of carrying out their duties.
Responding, one of the participate, Nathaniel Ogiri expressed appreciation to IDFP and also encouraged them to carry out the sensitization exercise at the grassroots.
