Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: New Cases 575, Total 31,323

Nigeria recorded 575 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic which were detected in seventeen states and the Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja on Friday.

NCDC’s list of how the virus spread across the country on Friday showed Lagos 224, Oyo 85, FCT 68, Rivers 49, Kaduna 39, Edo 31, Enugu 30, Delta 11, Niger 10, Katsina 9, Ebonyi 5, Gombe 3, Jigawa 3, Plateau 2, Nasarawa 2, Borno 2, Kano 1 and Abia 1.

NCDC announced on Twitter that as of 11.43 p.m. on Friday, 10th July 2020, a total of 31,323 confirmed cases of the worldwide pestilence had been reported in the country since the index case was detected there.

The national disease control agency declared that out of the total, 12,795 persons who tested positive for the virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s isolation centres, while 709 people who contracted the disease died.
