Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: New Cases 603, Total 28,167

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 603 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in eighteen states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Saturday, the 4th of July 2020.

NCDC said the following areas were infected by the worldwide pandemic: Lagos 135, Edo 87, Abuja 73, Rivers 67, Delta 62, Ogun 47, Kaduna 20, Plateau 19, Osun 17, Ondo 16, Enugu 15, Oyo 15, Borno 13, Niger 6, Nasarawa 4, Kebbi 3, Kano 2, Sokoto 1 and Abia 1 

As of 11.35 p.m. on 4th July 2020, NCDC confirmed that  a total of 28,167 people had been infected by COVID-19 in Nigeria.

It explained that out the total figure,11,462 patients afflicted by the virus had been discharged from the country’s isolation centres, and 634 victims of the disease had died.
