The 2 Division Nigerian Army, on Saturday distributed palliatives to over 500 households in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
This was contained in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations , 2 Division, Col Hassan Ifijeh Mohammed.
Speaking at the distribution of the palliative, the General Officer Commanding 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General AB Omozoje said the gesture was in commemoration of Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL)2020 to the residents of Idi Arere and Ori Aje in Ibadan South East LGA of Oyo State.
Major General Omozoje assured the recipients of the palliatives of the continue support of Nigerian Army in the fight against COVID-19. and social vices.
The event was withnessed by government officials, elders and youth leaders of the areas.
However, the youth leader while speaking at the distribution of the palliatives appreciated the gesture of Nigerian Army.
