Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: New Cases 454, Total 27,564

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) detected 454 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria on Friday.

Eighteen states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja shared the number of the new cases in the following hierarchy: Lagos 87, Edo 63, FCT 60, Ondo 41, Benue 32, Abia 31, Ogun 29, Oyo 19, Kaduna 17, Delta 16, Enugu 15, Borno 14, Plateau 9, Nasarawa 8, Kano 5, Bauchi 4, Gombe 2, Katsina 1 and Kogi 1.

NCDC reported on twitter that as of 11.52 p.m. on Friday, 3rd July, 2020 a total of 27,564 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic had been recorded in Nigeria.

According to the disease control agency, out of the total figure, 11,069 people who contracted the global illness had been discharged from the nation’s isolation centres, and 628 deaths arising from COVID-19 had been officially confirmed.
