Retired NIS Officers Pass Vote Of Confidence On Babandede

The headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Abuja was on Thursday rented with commendation as retired officers lauded the Comptroller General Muhammad Babandede for the great achievement recorded within three years in office.
The former officers, under the aegis of the National Association of Retired Immigration Officers passed a vote of confidence of the NIS boss, saying his achievement made them to be proud as retired officers.
In a release by the national public relations officer of NIS Sunday James, a Deputy Comptroller, the ex- officers who were on solidarity visit, said they were elated with what they described as all round transformation brought to bear on the service.
According to the release, the group which include Comptroller Kayode Musa, Chief Ankeli Ogbe, Mrs Mary Zimson, Emily Jonah, Folashade Ayeni, and the President of the Association Mr Lasisi Gbadamosi , Abuja Chapter  and other State Officials among others, was led by ACG Femi Ajisafe retired.
They asserted that the NIS rating has gone up and as retired officers can boldly refer to themselves as Immigration officers with pride anytime.
Further, they observed that the service has grown in length and bound in all ramifications.
”  Looking at infrastructure alone will be an underestimation as all the states, Six geo-political zones, and FCT have impact of the administration, also  a wholistic view of all the Reforms in passport, Visa, Migration Management, Border Management, Enforcement through Investigation and Compliance, yearly roll out of Strategic planning through the NIS Annual report which the CGI Babandede started as a way of operating a transparent leadership and Administration since he came on board” , the group posited.
The release reads, ”  National Association of Retired Immigration Officers visited the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service Muhammad Babandede MFR at the NIS Headquarters, Abuja to extend solidarity and confer the association confidence in the administration, lead by ACG Femi Ajisafe, pcc,Comptroller Kayode Musa, Chief Ankeli Ogbe, Mrs Mary Zimson, Emily Jonah, Folashade Ayeni, and the President of the Association Mr Lasisi Gbadamosi , Abuja Chapter  and other State Officials among others who observed the good things done in three years as very encouraging  one that made them proud as former Immigration officers 
They observed that the service has grown in length and bound in all ramifications, that looking at infrastructure alone will be an underestimation as all the states, Six geo-political zones, and FCT have impact of the administration, also  a wholistic view of all the Reforms in passport, Visa, Migration Management, Border Management, Enforcement through Investigation and Compliance, yearly roll out of Strategic planning through the NIS Annual report which the CGI Babandede started as a way of operating a transparent leadership and Administration since he came on board, the yearly project appraissal and review of performance where Zonal Coordinators and Command Comptrollers are invited to the Service Headquarters to give account and report of projects in their various Zones and Commands, level of financial commitment, level of work done, observations and even suggestions on those works that may need the intervention of CGI Babandede to instruct, direct or even summon such contractor for explanation and other forms of legal sanctions meted on erring contractors as the case may be. 

The retired officers were elated with all round transformation that the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service brought to bear on the service attracting all and sundry to admire the service, they observed as being active outside the service on retirement as they are recognized in their local set up due to the new image given the service and its relevancy nationally and one that relates with the larger society that the  NIS rating has gone up and they as retired officers can boldly refer to themselves as Immigration officers with pride anytime, any day this has brought them to pray and commit the Comptroller General into the hand of God for Sustainance, wisdom and guidance to do more than has  being done before and pledged their support in a register signed by them to register their confidence in the leadership first of its kind where a serving Comptroller General will receive in audience retired officers personally,the meeting held in strict observance of NCDC standard protocol for Covid-19″.
