Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: New Cases 684, Total 23,298

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 684 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in eighteen states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Friday.

NCDC gave the names of the affected areas as follows: Lagos 259, Oyo 76, Katsina 69, Delta 66, Rivers 46, Ogun 23, Edo 22, Osun 22, Ebonyi 21, FCT 20, Kaduna 16, Ondo 10, Imo 9, Abia 9, Gombe 5, Plateau 4, Bauchi 4, Ekiti 2 and Anambra 1. 

As of 11.50 p.m. on Friday, 26th June 2020 Nigeria has had a total of 23,298 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case  of the worldwide plague occurred in the country , the Nigerian disease control agency reported on Twitter yesterday.

According to the NCDC, out of the total number of confirmed cases,  8,253 people were discharged from isolation centres, and 554 died.
