Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: New Cases 594, Total 22,614

Twenty-one states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja were infected with 594 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) posted the the information on its twitter account yesterday, and provided a list of the places affected the pestilence.
The list showed Lagos State led with 159, Delta 106, Ondo 44, FCT 34, Edo 34, Oyo 33, Kaduna 33, Enugu 28, Katsina 25, Imo 22, Adamawa 15, Ogun 12, Osun 11, Abia 8, Rivers 6, Nasarawa 5, Bauchi 5, Niger 5, Kebbi 4, Ekiti 3, Plateau 1 and Taraba 1.

As of 11.47 p.m. on Thursday, 25th June, 2020 Nigeria has had a total of 22,614 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case was reported in the country , NCDC disclosed.

The Nigerian disease control agency said that out the total, the country had discharged 7,822 patients from isolation centres, and recorded 549 deaths.
