Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Exceed 10,000 As 307 New Cases Are Recorded On Sunday

Nigeria recorded 307 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus (COVID-19) on Sunday, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on its Twitter account on Sunday.

NCDC’s breakdown of the latest figure showed that Lagos State maintained its lead by having 188, FCT Abuja 44, Ogun 19, Kaduna 14, Oyo 12, Bayelsa 9, Gombe 5, Kano 3, Delta 3, Imo 2, Rivers 2, Niger 2, Bauchi 2, Plateau 1 and Kwara 1.

The national disease control agency stated that as of 12.26 p.m. on Sunday, 31st May, 2020 a total of 10,162 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria.  
According to NCDC, out of the total figure, 3,007 cases have been discharged from isolation centres, and 287 have died.
