COVID-19: Ganduje Provides Testing Centres In 36 LGAs, Slashes Salaries Of Political Office Holders By 50%

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has Intensified fight against COVID-19 in the state and is ready to provide testing centres in the 36 local government areas of the state to extend the war against the CoronaVirus to rural areas.

The governor decided to provide testing centres at the rural areas in order to ensure that all citizens are tested to prove the well being of the people of all categories especially during the COVID-19 pandemic currently ravaging the globe, where  the test result of every citizen  is expected to be negetive.

Similarly, the governor announced the salary slash of all political office holders by 50% in order to contribute towards the war against COVID-19 in the state and to ensure that Kano citizens remain in healthy condition at both rural and urban settlements.

Speaking to our correspondent, some residents commended the governor for his efforts to ensure that Kano citizens are tested and remain negative against CoronaVirus across the state and control the spread of the deadly disease.

They called on the governor to extend the fight to other healthcare  issues like malaria, typhoid fever, hypertension and other communicable diseases that remain a threat to the people.
