Customers who thronged the First Bank Nigeria Plc, Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna metropolis ATM machines in attempt to withdraw cash to make purchases as the Kaduna State Government relaxed the 24-hour curfew were disappointed that the machines were left unloaded.
Customers queued up at the premises of the bank as early as 8am in their bid to get cash to shop during the available window from the Sabon Tasha Central Market which shares a fence with the bank.
They lamented that out if the six ATM machines there, initially, only one was functioning, but later packed up around 12noon.
It was later around 4pm, that two machines started functioning, hours after desperate customers were left stranded.
Efforts made at reaching the bank’s customer service to lodge complaints proved futile, as the number, after two separate calls which lasted close to eight minutes, were charged from our expenses, without being connected.
As at the time of filing this report, our correspondent observed that a long queue was still witnessed at the bank’s ATM gallery.
