*ask criminals to stay away from the state

Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC ) Alhaji Iskilu Akinsanya on Friday disclosed that the command has apprehended 6 motorcycles and 64 bags of cannabis at Ofiki River in Igbo Igbaye area of Igboora , Ibarapa Central Local Government Council of the State.
Parading the motorcycles and the 64 bags of cannabis before handed over the cannabis to NDLEA, the Commandant said the items were apprehended by men of the Rangers squad of the command on Thursday.
According to Commandant Akinsanya, the apprehended drugs were smuggled into the country by suspects now at large through forest from Cotonou, Republic of Benin and heading to Mologede near Abeokuta in Ogun State.
Stressing that Oyo NSCDC Agro Ranger squad specialises in raiding and assault mission, including mediation on farmers Herder crisis works on credible intelligence information to arrest the exhibits, Alhaji Akinsanya warned criminal elements to stay away from Oyo State, saying, the state is not home of crimes and criminality,
Commandant Akinsanya while enjoining the criminals to vacate the state or be ready to face the consequences, lauded the people of Ibarapa Central for supporting the Agro Ranger squad and used the medium to ask for more collaboration in order to nip the crime in bud in the state.
The Oyo NSCDC Commandant then charged the people of Oyo State to follow the government directive on the covid 19 pandemic by stay safe with good hygiene and social distance ,total compliance with with curfew including stay at home will be enforce by NSCDC and other sister agencies in Oyo State.
The Commandant then directed all his personnel to exercise their duty or actions with a human face and within the ambits of the law
