The national chairman of the Council of Ullama of JIBWIS, Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir who violated the order of the Plateau State Government on the COVID-19 has been interrogated by the Plateau State Police Command.
The Sheikh and his followers arrived the police headquarters in Jos at about 12:30pm but could not leave the premises until about 3 oclock after he was forced to make a written statement to denounce his earlier claims that CoronaVirus is not real, a message which he preached to his followers who converged to perform the last Friday prayers in the state despite the existing order.
The Islamic cleric had in a video circulated in the state, claimed that the CoronaVirus does not exist and told his followers that thoe should disregard all the directives issued by the federal and state government as a measure.
The publicity secretary of the group, Alh Hashimu Muhammad said the Islamic cleric was at the police command headquarters to answer the invitation of the Commissioner of Police who later handed him over to the State Security seyrvices (SSS) where he was drilled for about an hour.
It was reliably gathered that the Sheikh was made to answer some questions on national security before he was compelled to agree that CoronaVirus exists, contrary to his earlier claims.
The image maker of the group told journalists that the Sheikh has now retracted earlier position on the CoronaVirus and compelled to educate his followers after the meeting with the Commissioner of Police.
He referred journalists to the publication of the group earlier made in some selected media organisations.
Also speaking, the legal adviser of the group, Barrister Aliyu Sange who spoke on behalf of the Sheikh shortly after he was released, said they were at the police premises to honour invitation.
He also retracted the position earlier made by the group on the existence of CoronaVirus, saying that, they are now satisfied with the explanation made.

These development put the Plateau State Government in a difficult situation concerning the awareness of the dreaded virus.
