Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa State, has imposed a compulsory fourteen days stay at home order for workers on grade Levels one to fourteen (1-14) in both private and public sectors.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikau in Yola, Adamawa State.
According to him, with the way the corona viruseis spreading in the country, the government needs to protect its citizens.
Fintiri vow that his government would do all within its power to keep citizens safe and protect everyone from contracting the deadly Coronavirus as Nigeria has already recorded fifty one cases.
The statement said, “Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has issued a stay at home directive to workers on grade level 1-14 in both the public and private sectors.“The directive is to ensure the safety of the people against the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, a challenge the world is passing through.
“These category of staff from level 1 – 14 are to work from home for a period of two weeks in the first instance subject to review but with the exception of those on essential services such as health workers, water board, fire service, board of internal revenue, security, abatitor and media workers”, the statement explained further.
“New Nigeria reports that although, Adamawa state has not recorded a single COVID – 19 case, the state government is on red alert to protect its people.
